Web Delivery Manager

Our Pharmaceutical Practice, based in Bridgewater NJ, has extensive understanding of the Sales & Marketing Operations, Managed Care Organizations, R&D processes, Commercial Operations, and Supply Chain areas within large pharmaceutical firms. Alliance is currently delivering services to the top Global pharmaceutical firms and several leading mid-market Pharmaceutical and Bio-technology firms.

We are looking for a Web Delivery Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:
Business Relationship Management
* Acts as the managing point of contact for the client for all aspects of activity in the engagement
* Communicates with project managers and business sponsors to prioritize and schedule delivery based on resource allocation.
* Ensures projects are staffed and tracked appropriately and conform to the development methodology.
* Ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other guidelines/procedures are followed for internal and external change requests.
* Proposes projects for process improvement, technical enhancements, and cost savings efforts
* Assists client in organizational structures for optimum project delivery

Technical Management
* Manages team of developers.
* Coordinate resources to assist with the development and implementation of new products, system enhancements, and production fixes with external project managers and other business partners.
* Oversee resource activity for multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
* Aid in determining the estimated resource requirements for new system enhancements.
* Continually review on-going processes affecting platform resources for efficiencies and to proactively reduce potential future platform issues.
* Participate in platform level requirements gathering and design sessions.
* Responsible for project estimates and resource plans
* Ensures suitability of the overall architecture to the functional (business), technical and non-functional requirements
* Creates, governs, and changes the development methodology to ensure quality
* Provides expert guidance and mentoring to staff developers for implementations of enhancements and support tasks
* Leads platform and software infrastructure improvement projects

Resource Management
* Ensures technical mentoring and guidance for individual team resources.
* Ensures resources have the appropriate tools ramp-up.
* Ensures off site resource to deliver enhancements, issue resolutions, and other system services.
* Assigns resources to project and support initiatives and ensures proper delivery of service.
* Ensures resources perform time tracking on a weekly basis.

Background
Strong Background in Java/J2EE application design and development
Strong background in software development and experience with all phases of a typical SDLC projects (i.e. Requirements, Analysis, Development, Testing, etc)
Experience with various development methodologies, Agile, RUP, etc
Ability to run technical projects
Experience managing multiple teams of developers and multiple projects
Experience with software configuration management and software build and deployment processes
Experience with CVS and software build and deployment processes
Strong knowledge of J2EE architecture and WebLogic Application Server
Experience with SQL and RDBMS (preferably Oracle)
Ability to research and learn new technologies
Excellent communication skills and organizational skills

Nice to Have:
Experience BEA Web Logic, Hibernate, Spring Framework
Experience with Alfresco or content management systems and processes
