Web Designer- Contract to Hire Opportunity

 

Our client, a local Manchester area company in the Entertainment Industry, is seeking a candidate that has demonstrated ability to combine creative ideals with technological tools in order to create clean and visually appealing graphics for an array of media. They are looking for someone with a graphics background and back-end web development experience to create on-line charts and maps.  The qualified candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to work alone or within a team framework along with senior software engineers and database administrators on a variety of data-driven projects that will tie in directly with animated graphics and data. The candidate should enjoy working in a very fluid and dynamic environment and can expect to enjoy a flexible work environment. On site hours – (9-6) (10-7) (11-8) are just a few examples of their employee work schedules. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.

 

Required expert knowledge with the following tools and concepts:

Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop

Macromedia Flash MX (or comparable)

Web Design (WYSIWYG) Tool - Dreamweaver / FrontPage / Visual Studio

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) - mapping to graphics using data contained within XML or other data structures with SVG-based tools, such as SoftwareFX or similar
