Summary:  

The ideal candidate must possess the ability to manage a wide range of projects from web to print collateral pieces. An in-depth knowledge of print production and interactive design is required. This individual will help develop creative briefs, hold and attend project planning meetings, and implement creative requirements including copy, art, and photography into design layout. PLEASE NOTE: Only candidates with strong portfolio samples will be considered for this position.

 

Performance Objectives:Help develop design solutions that communicate, inform, and persuade an audience.Act as key web designer for a variety of projects, designing visual look and feel, graphics, styles, navigation, and layout for websites.Consult with and present to clients - mapping out project aims, design ideas, and direction to meet client objectives.Provide limited vendor management and freelancer direction, project management (including budget recommendations), and supervising press checks when necessary.Contribute directly to the dynamic, fast-changing workflow of Fluid by taking responsibility for a share of projects as time allows and requires.Interface with internal departments and management to establish and improve processes.Work closely with outside sales representatives and clients to brainstorm and execute creative solutions.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must have strong experience with and knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, JavaScript.Knowledge and some experience with SQL, XHTML, DHTML, PHP, and ASP is preferredHigh proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 2/3 programs including: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Proficiency with Quark XPress is also recommended.Experience with both web and print design.Strong customer service, self-motivation, and time management skills required.Must be comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced environment requiring tight deadlines.
