Web Developer for a great Fortune 500 company in N Dallas!
To design, develop, test, and implement the Web based Applications. The Developer would also be responsible for initiating and implementing web applications, as well as analyzing and periodically updating application contents as needed. These tasks include capturing user requirements through collaboration with not only business analysts, software developers and vendors, but also with technical teams in the respective areas. Use of Java, a variety of graphic design tools and other Web development tools/languages in an open system environment is required.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):
· In-depth knowledge of GUI prototyping tools, software design, Web development technologies.
· Strong graphic design skills and awareness of visual design and usability issues would be ideal.
· Knowledge of usability analysis.
· Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
· Thorough knowledge of and experience with Internet programming languages and tools, including HTML, XML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, JSP, Flash Actionscript, Macromedia Dreamweaver(nice to have)
· Knowledge of and experience with computer graphic and multimedia design and tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash is desirable not mandatory.
· Comprehensive experience with planning, site mapping, structuring, developing, and implementing interactive corporate Web sites.
· Collaborate with project teams to: define site architecture and navigation, user flow and experience, and define high level interaction
· Collaborate with technical vendors to integrate third-party applications
· Knowledge of TCP/IP services (e.g.- HTTP, FTP, HTML, xHTML, WML, WAP)
