DuPage County Government, located approximately 30 miles west of the city of Chicago in Wheaton, Illinois has an immediate opening for a Web Developer in the IT Dept. Responsibilities include:



- Design, maintain and manage the County Internet and Intranet web sites

- Work with County department and Elected Official offices to utilize Web services

- Develop custom Web-based applications in a Microsoft environment

- Design and implement relational databases such as Microsoft SQL-Server

- Develop web content

- Define system requirements, perform product selection and implement 3rd party off-the-shelf products

- Utilize EmPower content management software

- Define system and data security requirements

- Program in standard Internet language such as HTML, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, ASP.NET, and CSS

- Produce static graphics and Flash movies



Requirements include: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field; three (3) to four (4) years of experience in the design and production of Web-based systems; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
