Web & Graphic Designer

Individual will be part of a team responsible for delivering an internal web-based publication that is used by all IT initiatives within the organization. Seeking an experienced Website designer, to help edit and maintain existing portal, designing new layouts, and enhancing the overall delivery of this content through web delivery, formal presentation and training materials. Strong graphic design skills, solid knowledge of web based development languages. The candidate will need to be enthusiastic, well organized, capable of working multiple initiatives at a time, and presenting new and alternative options to content delivery. Keen design eye, with creative visual ideas, and a good understanding with building sites to W3C and 508 standards. Must be highly creative, passionate, keen to learn new tools, and quick to pick new skills. Will be responsible for working on projects where you will be expected to communicate directly with internal clients, so strong verbal and active listening skills are a must.

Skills / Experience Required:

·  Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills

·  Work well as a team member across multiple initiatives

·  Highly motivated, ability to work independently, and drive to milestones.

·  Understanding of current design and usability trends.

·  Maintain a high degree of quality control

·  Experience with Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver

 
Education Requirements:

B.A./B.S. Degree or Higher

 

Technical Qualifications:

Required:

·  Strong practical graphic design experience, with 2 years experience with web design

·  Fluent with HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, basic understanding of .NET, ASP, and Javascript

·  Very strong skills in layout, typography and color theory

·  Experience with W3C and 508 standards

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills

·  Proven time management/prioritizing abilities

·  Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver, and Flash
