Web Programmer/Analyst

Juniata College invites applications for the position of Web Programmer/Analyst.  The primary role will be to develop applications used by both on-campus entities and visitors to the College’s external web site.  Primary job duties include development of applications for internal use, assist in developing code used to support the College’s public website, serve as a mentor and partner to student developers, assist in the development of project planning and development documents. Qualified candidates should have general programming knowledge and abilities normally acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; well developed customer service and communication skills, specific knowledge in PHP, SQL (relational db), XHTML (understanding of web standards), CSS, and Javascript; knowledge of AJAX, UNIX, and XML. Experience with data privacy and security are desired.
