Radford University in Virginia invites applications for a Web Programmer position.  The Web Programmer designs, develops, deploys, maintains, and supports the university’s Luminis enterprise portal and quality integration between the portal and the university’s Banner administrative application suite, academic, instruction, and business functions.  Provides programming support for departmental web sites.

 

Qualifications:  Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies, software and integration solutions. In-depth experience with dynamic, data-driven web development, portlets, and managing portals preferred. Must be proficient in Windows and Linux environments and have experience with web application servers using SSL. Oracle 9i/10g experience preferred. Proficient with HTML, CSS, XML, XHTML, and Javascript. Proficiency in two or more of the following: SQL, Java, J2EE, JSP, ASP.Net (C#). Prior experience with LDAP integration, SunGard HE Banner application suite, and Luminis Portal a plus. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and be able to work independently and in a team environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years experience in a web development environment, or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
