Interfaces with development staff to implement Internet and intranet business applications; writes wsadmin scripts to automate installation of EAR and WAR files; interfaces with Operating System administrators and Network Engineering to define requirements for infrastructure setup.  ·  Apache - Takes part in design, implementation, configuration, and support of Apache/IBM HTTP Server on AIX and Linux; Interfaces with development, network, and security staff to implement necessary configuration for Internet and intranet business applications; Interfaces with Operating System administrators and Network Engineering to define requirements for infrastructure setup; Assists in the design, implementation, configuration, and support of WebSphere MQ and JMS on AIX and Linux.  ·  Performance Monitoring - Monitor java application performance using Wily Introscope. Work with application support staff to train them for application monitoring and troubleshooting.  ·  Uptime Monitoring - Configure tools and hosted solutions to monitor Internet applications and resources availability. Take part in on-call pager rotation and respond to critical situations.  ·  Shell Scripting - Write shell scripts to automate administrative tasks in BASH and KSH. REQUIRED SKILLS  Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field Possess minimum 4 years experience in systems administration or a related field Good knowledge of java runtime environments including the following: WebSphere Application Server and JBoss May also have knowledge of script languages and be responsible for scripting writing. Knowledge of network protocols and standards such as TCP/IP and DNS Good mathematical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
