WebSphere Commerce Developer
Our client's e-commerce practice is growing and they are seeking new team members to join them in the implementation, customization and integration of IBM WebSphere Commerce sites. WebSphere Commerce Developer responsibilities include customization of stores: JSP development, controller/task command customization, catalog design, and J2EE web application development based on MVC architecture (JSPs, HTML/XML, Struts, servlets and persistence frameworks). Client provides world-class e-commerce solutions to a wide-range of clients and their reputation continues to create new growth opportunities for their team - and the work is challenging and interesting.Required Skills: Approximately 1-4 years of IBM WebSphere Commerce development experience, familiarity with WebSphere Commerce Programming Framework, 2-5 years of Java/J2EE web application development experience, JSPs, servlets, Struts, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT. Candidates should be familiar with software development lifecycle and MVC design practices. Knowledge or experience with databases, messaging middleware (WebSphere MQ preferred), web services, transaction management, deployment and development automation (ANT), development methodologies and configuration management practices are all pluses. Multi-platform (Windows/Linux/AIX/Solaris/iSeries), multi-edition (Express, Pro, Business/Enterprise) and a minimum level of version 5.6 experience is preferred. Experience with J2EE persistence models (EJBs, Hibernate) and XML/XSLT desirable. Applicant must be able to communicate well with others, manage time, and work well within a team.Candidates must have Websphere Commerce version 5.6 or higher.
