Website Programmer/Developer :  

The Website Programmer/Developer will be responsible for ongoing management of external and internal website maintenance and development requirements. The Website Programmer/Developer will also be responsible for applying knowledge of best-practices, concepts and procedures within the web development field in order to develop and maintain an "industry-best" internet (externally focused) site and intranet (internal) site. The position reports directly to Vice President of Global Marketing.

 

Position Responsibilities:



·  Responsible for HTML programming of internal or externally created web pages

·  Responsible for Website mapping and optimization

·  Responsible for rudimentary artwork and graphics design for basic Pliant requirements (external artwork design will be still be used as necessary.)

·  Performs ongoing competitive website analysis and review

·  Responsible for developing, maintaining and promoting our current and new website activities, and be responsible for web positioning, promotion as well as developing e-promotions to prospective customers.

·  Responsible for project management, development and daily supervision of Pliants web sites.

·  Will be responsible for design of new sections as part of the overall site design to standardize, expand, and define information.

·  Analyze functional requirements to define technology, tools, development, and platform standards.

·  Responsible for functioning as a liaison between marketing, manufacturing, engineering, technical and sales to ensure that the web effectiveness objectives are being met.

·  Develops complex code and integrates artwork, text, video, and sound into websites.

·  Creates complex, customized applications to enhance website capability based on business needs.

·  Builds table frames and forms and writes complex script within the browser to enhance site functionality.

·  Researches, tracks, and understands new web technologies to provide technical leadership in developing service applications and analyzing business requirements.



Qualifications:



·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

·  Six or more years of web, internet, or programmer/analyst experience.

·  Able to incorporate Excel & Access files in site.

·  Previous experience in Website development and maintenance

·  HTML Programming:  HTML 4.01, XHTML, CSS

·  Experience in a fast paced business environment to apply technical solutions to business needs.

·  ASP (Active Server Page) development, SQL, ADO

·  Certified Internet Website Professional (CIW) preferred

·  Fluent in Microsoft Office application as well as Adobe Photoshop

·  Must possess an understanding of the "big picture" of underlying systems architectures.

·  Must posses strong communications skills, both written and oral.

·  Outstanding work ethic, interpersonal skills, and a results-oriented, innovative management style.

·  Be able to conceptualize and design a web site.

·  Familiar with search engine development and Intranet structures
