Skills A:Computer science or Information Systems degree Preferred 6 – 8 years experience with demonstrated growth in skills and responsibilities In-depth understanding of computing architectures, strategies, systems design Solid understanding of and experience working in Software Configuration Management practices, Build Management, Release Management, and all parts of the Software Development Life Cycle Experience working in multi-platform environments 3 – 5 years working with J2EE Excellent language and communication skills, particularly in context of rapid analysis and response as well as frequent mentoring opportunities Recognized leadership abilities Desire to focus on the environment aspect of development and test



Description:

 

Client seeking Websphere Administrator to provide oversight to managing complex non-production environments throughout the project lifecycle.  Specifically the Websphere Administrator will provide guidance to a team of analysts, bring issues to closure, represent the team to stakeholders and management, and make improvement recommendations based on substantiated root cause analysis.  The Websphere Administrator will work with the team to troubleshoot configuration, performance, data conversion, product integration, versioning and other such issues which arise throughout rapid development cycles.

 

Responsibilities:

 Environment planning, configuration management and setup Collaboration with project team to translate requirements into effectively planned and supported testing activities Assistance with design of non-production environments (primary focus initially on test environments), creation of topology diagrams Procurement of testing assets as needed (hardware, software, data, etc.) Management and optimization of the utilization of assets in environments
