Due to an unprecedented period of growth, we have a LONG-TERM CONTRACT/PROJECT opportunity at our SACRAMENTO, CA location for a C#/.NET DEVELOPER.RESPONSIBILITIES:Development and maintenance activities using tools such as ASP.Net, C#.Net, VB.Net, classic ASP, HTMLWork with Business Analysts and end users to collect, analyze and evaluate business requirementsExamine requirements documentsCreation technical design documents, unit test, system test, and implementation plansDevelop and implement moderate to highly complex technical and business solutionsParticipate in database design, including ERD, data modeling, DTS packages, etc.Perform quality assurance duties as requestedTest software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defectsProvide production support for assigned systems including troubleshooting and modifying programsAssist in the resolution of application and system performance issuesEstimate and meet timelines for developmentCommunicate orally and in writing with customer, IT staff and managementIdentify, escalate and assist in resolving communications issuesEnhance GUI interfaces, application frameworks and data structuresProvide knowledge transfer to others by openly sharing with team membersTECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:5 years of solid application programming using Object Oriented Techniques3+ years experience using Visual Studio .Net, ASP.Net, C# and/or VB.Net programming languagesExperience with Visio, XML, XSD, Javascript, HTML/DHTML, HTML, CSSCandidates MUST have experience with Windows CEIndustry standard systems analysis and functional/technical requirements documentation methods.Software Development Life CycleUser acceptance testing, test case design, test plansInternet technology and web programmingMicrosoft web security practicesKnowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, etc.Web ServicesRelational database systems with strong SQL knowledgeMS-SQL Server and transactional database design including stored procedures, triggers, views, etc.Efficient data structures and algorithmsGraphical User Interface GUI design principlesPrinciples of object oriented analysis/development and data modelingInternet Information Services (IIS)Construction of complex SQL queries and stored proceduresGood insight into design patterns and designing application using OODCandidates must be detail oriented and possess the ability to problem solve and work within a teamwork environment.
