Windows System Administrator (migration experience required)

Description:
HCS Systems is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to work with project management staff and other staff to plan and implement MS Windows migrations, hardware refreshes, OS migrations, OS upgrades, and desktop migrations. This includes all stages from information discovery, site surveys, technical or project planning, preparatory configurations of desktops, and source or target server configurations. This also includes implementation during Change Control windows, troubleshooting, and post implementation activities. The work involves planning and executing any incidents, changes, releases or problems that are needed to successfully implement the above at Raleigh and remote sites.

This work could involve up to 60 such migrations during the 6 month period and involve migration tools such as Quest Suite, Microsoft Migration Tools, or others as required.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
-  Minimum of (5) years of Administrator experience with Windows
Server Operating Systems.
-  Minimum of (1) year of experience with migrations from NDS,
NT4, W2k Domains to W2k3 ADS (Any of these types).
-  Minimum of (1) year of experience with Planning the above
migrations.
-  Must possess a good understanding of TCP/IP
networking, firewalls and VLANs.
-  Excellent communication, and documentation skills.

This position will be a minimum of 6 months in length and as always we have the ability to hire salaried with full benefits or hourly, depending on your needs.
