Position description:

This position is a corporate resource to develop and maintain web-based custom enterprise applications and data reporting services. Additional duties include network architecture analysis and upgrade recommendations, data recovery and risk mitigation planning, and helpdesk services. Planning and execution of the majority of this work is self-directed.

 

Key Requirements:

Education: Undergraduate degree preferred; engineering or computer science major a plus

Desired Skills:  Ability to work with CIO, network systems manager, and operations management and staff to develop new enterprise software applications, modify existing features, and develop or customize reporting from SQL data sets. Experience in business process automation, web-based transaction processing, and database design experience important components. This position is does not currently supervise any other positions.

 

Specific Software Capabilities:

This is primarily a Windows environment with some supporting Linux components

 

Skills Details:

·         The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC)

·         5+ years of developing web based applications

·         Experience with a variety of programming languages including:

o        ASP.NET, VB.Net, C#, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XHTML.

·         Good SQL skills and database experience:

o        Ability to manage SQL Server 2000, 2005. Store Procedures, T-SQL

o        Microsoft SQL Reporting Services

o        Experience with MySQL is highly desired.

·         Knowledge of Sharepoint technology is highly desired

·         Basic knowledge of Windows Security, Active Directory

·         Proven ability to lead projects throughout the development life cycle

 

Primary Duties and Other Skills or Abilities:

·         Develop and maintain custom enterprise applications supporting business development, purchasing, human resources, and financial management

·         Install, configure, and maintain enterprise services including FTP, public web, Sharepoint, and other custom intranet services

·         Respond to corporate user help-desk requests

·         General accounting process knowledge (especially with Microsoft Navision SQL data structure) a plus
