Who We Are

Management Games, LLC is a product development and training company.  Our customers are Management Consulting organizations (most in the NIST MEP system and some commercial) that contract us to develop products/services for them that will help the employees of their client organizations to rapidly acquire knowledge of business process improvement methods. The objective is to immediately apply that knowledge to improve the organization’s products/services, increase revenue, lower operational costs, and to promote product/service/process innovation via an organizational culture of continual learning and process improvement.

Products/services that we have developed include a number of scenario-based simulations (physical “board-based” and in the near future digital business games) designed to rapidly convey the concepts and methods of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other improvement systems. The “hands on” format of these simulations deliver a number of key “ah ha!” insights that are difficult to acquire through traditional learning methods (learn by doing);  self-paced eLearning courses;  Webcasts and online classroom “train-the-trainer” services; Kaizen and process mapping field kits that facilitate the rapid implementation of focused improvement events;  software and Web-based applications that help non experts quickly apply improvement methods to achieve demonstrable business results and to monitor new performance gains for sustainability.

We own and manage a data center that hosts technology services for our customers such as Web conferencing/meetings, online classroom training, learning portals, event delivery management, a Learning Management System to host eLearning courses, and technologies that facilitate virtual teaming.  Virtual teaming capability is critical because when we develop a new product/service, we assemble a team consisting of our people, key individuals from a Management Consulting organization, and sometimes individuals from our customer’s customer—the client organization.  The team is most often scattered throughout the country in different time zones.  New products and services are developed via these extended virtual teams so your ability to work in this kind of teaming environment is key.

The Talent We Are Seeking

Management Games is seeking an individual who can assist us to refine existing eLearning courses (that were acquired) and to develop new courses going forward. Some knowledge of instructional design is helpful.  As a team that is always trying to take things to a new level, we want to create self-paced learning “experiences” that are highly interactive.  Right now, we have some eLearning courses that need a serious facelift.  The courses have been created with Trivantis Lectora Pro Suite. We want to improve the courses by adding learning interactions, upgrading pictures and graphics, and improving the content layout.  We need to clean up linked documents (Excel, PDF, Word, PowerPoint).  We also have some streaming video, Flash animations, and audio assets that have been developed that we would like to integrate into the e-learning courses.

We are looking for someone who can work with the following e-Learning authoring tools -- Lectora (primarily) and Adobe Captivate.  On the content creation side, you will need to be fluent with the Adobe Flash, ActionScript, Photoshop, InDesign, Fireworks, Adobe Premiere (to some degree), and Microsoft Office applications.  In the near future, we would also like to work with Knowledge Planet’s Firefly product suite and Adobe Director 11 to create digital games, 3D animations and simulations (not required that you know these products, but just an FYI in case you would like to learn how to use as you work with us).

Most of us live and work in the Roswell or Marietta area (East Cobb County, Atlanta Georgia); others are located in New Jersey, Florida, and Michigan.  We have more business than we can handle and we are growing quickly.

This is an independent contractor position.  We prefer to contract on a long-term basis with a guaranteed fixed payment every month over the course of six months, a year, or longer. Full-time employment is possible down the road. This work will require 32-40 hours a week.  You will work out of your home (telecommute with occaisional face-to-face meetings).  You already have a computer and the applications suitable for this kind of work and a broadband Internet connection. We will provide software like Lectora, Captivate, FireFly, etc.
