Title: iSeries Administrator (AS400 Administrator)

Job Summary:

The iSeries (AS/400) administrator is responsible for but not limited to the day-to-day smooth running of the 24/7 production and disaster recovery iSeries environment. Provide on-going technical support and enhancements to existing business critical systems’ infrastructure which facilitate current business initiatives. Maintain high availability, reliability and integrity of all business critical environments. Proactively monitor the system environment to minimize business-impacting situations and eliminate recurrent issues. Provide on-call out-of-hours support of all iSeries systems and other regionally based business critical systems. Delivery and execution of key infrastructure projects through: Performing and completing assigned tasks to required deadlines while reporting updates to management.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 5 years of AS/400 experience 3 years of AS/400 Security 3 years of AS/400 CLHigh energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.Excellent interpersonal abilities; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful and flexible.Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detailed oriented.

Credentials and Experience:AS/400 Administrator Security CL Control LangGraduated with a bachelor degree in a computer related field.2 years of related experience.
