Developer II_Unibasic Job Summary: Perform design, programming, testing, and documentation duties for product customizations requested by customers for InfoLease, IDS’s mission-critical portfolio management software for the equipment finance industry.  InfoLease is written in the UniBASIC programming language on the UniData database platform.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Product Enhancementso  Create project estimates and designs for product enhancement requests.o  Create programming specifications and test plans.o  Perform programming and testing assignments for product enhancementso  Communicate with customers and IDS team members regarding the status of enhancements.o  Participate in release planning discussions with customers to ensure product enhancement and delivery needs are aligned with customer requirements.o  Document product enhancement changes including implementation instructions to be included in product release notes.o  Utilize issue tracking system(s) to record all communication and actions.o  Develop knowledge of the lease/loan finance industry.o  Document standards and repeatable procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer to others.o  May require occasional travel to client sites or other IDS offices, including international travel.· Additional Responsibilities:o  Organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks/assignments/projects.o  Participate in and lead special projects.o  Perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: 2 to 5 years product development and/or support experience. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in ECE or CS, or equivalent experience preferred. Preferred knowledge of the BASIC or UniBASIC programming language. Preferred knowledge of UniData database or similar database (PICK or UniVerse) databases. Familiarity with operating systems including Windows (2003 Server, XP) and UNIX (AIX, HP-UX, Sun, Linux). Experience with technologies such as WebLogic and WebSphere a plus.· Intermediate knowledge of best practices in software support and customer service.· Demonstrated communication, customer service, analytical, and problem solving skills.· Ability to multi-task and pay strong attention to details. Ability to function in a high pressure and demanding environment.· Ability to perform duties independently with general supervision.
