Choose a career at Accenture and enjoy an innovative environment where challenging and interesting work is part of daily life. The Agile Software Capability Insertion (ASCI) initiative is a program intended to bring the benefits of new and emerging software development methodologies to the DoD’s Distributed Modeling and Simulation centers.  Objectives of this program include the establishment of a distributed development test bed, instantiation of a joint scenario generation repository, adoption of agile testing methodologies into the DoD systems development process, and overall improvement of the JLVC operational process The Network Architect works as a consulting team member conducting complex software / technology research leading to new or improved software/hardware architectures and products in order to improve the company’s competitive position and profitability. The Architect role provides architectural and 'big picture' oversight for development of new or enhanced software/hardware applications, systems, and/or products, and provides technical advice to software development teams and customers. The expertise and work efforts focus primarily on the implementation of proprietary software/hardware products and/or the development of custom software/hardware solutions. Duties are usually performed at the company’s facilities in the context of a software development project team.  The Architect role works with other architects, various software developers, project and/or product managers, and customer application experts to architect and design software/hardware products containing required features and functionality.  May be responsible for integrating components built by software product developers.  Qualifications  Basic Qualifications:  5 years network engineering 3 years programming or development experience BS degree Preferred Qualifications:  Understanding of ISO layer 2, 3, 4 protocols; network firewall processes & Network Address Translation (NAT) Understanding of Multicast/Class D addressing and message traffic Experience with virtual network interfaces and network processing stacks Very comfortable with TCP/UPD socket programming and C/C++ for network interface Experience with software or hardware architecture Experience with Oracle, Sybase or Postgres; SOA & ESB; RUP or Agile; SQL; Dynamic VPN; Message Oriented Middleware (MQ, JMS); BPEL Familiarity with DoD Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Modeling and Simulation Professional Skills:  Ability to take initiative and lead team as well as mentor Comfortable with establishing and meeting frequent development deadlines and deployment To submit resume online Click Here  Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated Accenture business may not be eligible for consideration.
