Description Organization: Public Service Location: Reston, VA Accenture Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who work on outsourcing engagements.  These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR.  We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition. Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office. Job Description: Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing missing critical systems for U.S. Federal Clients.  Additionally, the this role will be responsible for senior-level contributions and input as part of a team leading the architectural design/development elements of the program as Accenture transforms the organizations current infrastructure into a state-of-the-art enterprise, deploying COTS/GOTS technology, and applying commercial best practices to operations.  Qualified candidates should have expertise in the following:  Performing in a lead software engineer role on large scale system integration/engineering effort for the U.S. Federal Sector (DoD or Intelligence Community IT work a plus). Conducting system requirements analysis as well as designing, developing, testing and implementing software applications. Experience utilizing standard development methodologies to develop and implement IT solutions. Maintaining and enhancing legacy applications. Responsibilities:  Lead software engineering efforts on mission critical systems.  Manage development teams composed of a multi-contractor workforce to enhance the current operation. Conduct system requirements analysis as well as designing, developing, testing, and implementing software applications. Work with client security personnel to ensure systems are certified and accredited per client specs. Work with client program management to facilitate implementation through the control gate processes. Qualifications Basic Qualifications:  TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance 7 years IT experience 2 years IT technical architecture and/or development management experience B.S.
