ASP.NET, C#, .NET Web Developer for Social Networks

We are a small but growing web development company specializing in building cutting-edge social media and social networking sites for national and international clients.

We're looking for a sharp ASP.NET developer to work with us in our downtown Portland office on a number of current and upcoming projects.

Requirements:
Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Excellent C#, ASP.NET 2.0, and database skills Fast learner, flexible, open minded, works well alone or with others Good understanding of object-oriented development and software engineering best practices Ability to thrive in a rapid, changing environment Love to learn and improve Enjoy writing quality code quickly and efficiently Positive, laid-back attitude


Nice-to-haves:
MCAD, MCSD, or other certifications Experience with web services Experience with agile development, practices, and methodology Experience with AJAX, especially with existing third-party AJAX libraries Experience with large, high-availability web sites Experience working on web 2.0 projects Experience with Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5, Linq, Linq-to-SQL Design skills (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and an eye for good design) Silverlight or Flash experience Server administration experience


What you'll be doing:
Working on one or more ASP.NET sites using Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 Developing web forms using themes, master pages, skins, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, databinding, and/or a variety of user and server controls Building web services, business layers, data access layers, or other libraries to support web sites Performing database tasks such as schema design, writing triggers/views/stored procedures, building simple to complex SQL queries, and data management Testing, documenting, and deploying code Participating in project design, architecture, and review sessions
