Intersect Solutions, LLC is a professional services firm that provides management and technical consulting.  We focus exclusively on developing data warehouse solutions and supporting architectures utilizing a full life-cycle development methodology, The Intersect Foundation, to ensure consistent, high-quality results.  Our dedicated focus on data warehouse consulting allows us to bring a unique perspective and domain expertise uncommon in the marketplace.

 

We are currently seeking an exceptionally bright, motivated, resourceful individual who is dedicated to learning more about Ab Initio and data warehouse to join our team in San Jose, CA. This position provides a large opportunity to grow and learn for the right person.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

• Will be taking existing Ab Initio graphs and filling in the missing components

• Will be building configuration files (text files) using Shell scripting

• Analyze functional requirements

• Assist with software development

• Will develop and maintain reports

• Will be interfacing with multiple groups and documenting results and software

• Assist in the design of system integration test plans

• Will report and take direction from a technical lead to increase Ab Initio and technical skill level
• Provide business and technical consulting to Intersect clients

• Perform other tasks that support the success and growth of the firm

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area of study

• Minimum of 2-4 years of Information Technology experience

• Technical background in databases and data modeling

• Working knowledge of Ab Initio

• Strong UNIX and Shell scripting skills

• Experience with computer programming languages

• Ability to implement previously developed technical designs

• Excellent analysis and problem solving skills

• Must work well in a collaborative, team environment and independently

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Data Warehouse design and development methodologies knowledge and experiences is a plus, but opportunity to learn for the right person
