Account Coordinator - Chicago
ABOUT THE POSITION:
GMI is a Seattle-based firm which provides global market intelligence solutions offering a range of software applications and database services. This role is based in GMI's Chicago office (located in Schaumburg, IL) and will support several sales executives in other parts of the U.S. This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor and start in a position that can provide upward mobility into sales or marketing. This position is an entry level position with room for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for sales lifecycle.
- Answer initial questions on products/services.
- Collaborate and brainstorm with new clients and prospects to determine best GMI solution.
- Understand client needs and communicate and up sell the appropriate services to meet client needs.
- Increase client awareness and understanding of GMI's uses and capabilities.
- Coordinate proposal creation and feasibility assessment for all bids.
- Process initial RFP (Request For Proposal): Evaluate bid for accuracy,
- Liaise with other internal GMI departments to bid and execute client projects and requests.
- Present proposal to client and serve as point of contact for any questions or client feedback.
- Research prospective client leads and opportunities within existing accounts.
- Manage database of new prospects, existing clients and leads.
- Maintain current understanding of products/services.
- Follow up with clients to update them with information on new GMI collateral and evaluate needs for new services/products.
- Strategically grow and foster healthy relationships with key client stakeholders and senior level management.
- Maintain existing account relationships to insure they remain healthy, productive and mutually beneficial, with a goal of securing repeat business and achieving targeted revenues with key clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Business preferred.
- 1 – 2+ years of experience that includes sales, business or marketing.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects under tight deadlines essential.
- Strong communication, listening and learning skills, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships.
- Competitive nature accompanied by strong teamwork ethic and passionate about satisfying clients.
- High energy with ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and unstructured environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to groups.
- Microsoft Office and Windows expertise
