Account Executive

Overall Purpose of Job:

Responsible for maintaining and growing revenue through large enterprise Project Wins.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Manage the entire sales process in larger, strategic deals in territory

Facilitate resources as needed to close large opportunities

Maintain Pipeline and forecast for all opportunities within territory

Develop strong relationships with key strategic accounts within the territory

Assist in Identify and develop new Voice Partners within territory

Develop overall territory plan including CSM activities

Top Line growth of territory revenue quarter over quarter in (4) select product areas (Switching, VoIP Convergence, Security and Wireless)

Help Select Partners close large end-user deals, including design, configuration, and sales support

Actively promote Spiffs/Promotions with Select Partners

Develop Account plans on top Accounts, and involve Area Manager and other Executives

Generate end-user demand through events such as seminars on quarterly basis

Maintain an in depth knowledge of the complete product line and value proposition

Maintain a knowledge of 3Com's key competitors' product lines

Provide timely and accurate Forecast and other reports as required by the Area Manager

Provide feedback to marketing and Segment management on programs and product

Skills and Experience:

8+ years successful sales experience in a high technology environment. Must be able to demonstrate professional presentation skills on complex topics, strong written communication skills. Results oriented and effective in customer situations comprising senior level management as well as technical personnel. Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic sales environment.

Qualifications and Education:

A complete understanding of data communications and networking concepts, network architectures and their role in designing and implementing computer networks. Bachelor degree preferred.
