Overview
Direct responsibility for an assigned territory’s operations including accountability for sales activity and reactive servicing of problems and issues that arise for the accounts of that territory.
General Description
Qpay is a payment processing company whose core business is to provide various types of retail locations with the ability to process walk-in cash payments for the various service providers and billers that we contract with. Service providers range from the top tier wireless carriers, to the regional pre-paid carriers, to both national and local utilities. We have developed a fully secured proprietary payment processing system that has been designed specifically with the retailer in mind, providing the easiest and most efficient way to take cash payments from the consumer. Once installed with the Qpay system, retailers become Authorized Qpay Agents, and depending upon the region where they are located they have the ability to take a wide variety of payments for all types of service providers, charging a convenience fee for each one. The fees generated by walk-in cash payments often become a substantial source of revenue for the Agent; therefore the goal of Qpay is to become one of the most profitable business partnerships that the retailers have.
The roles and responsibilities of the Account Service Representative (“ASR”) position revolve around the day-to-day servicing of Qpay’s Agents in the territory that will be assigned to them by the local or regional Market Manager whom they will be reporting to.
Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting all payment locations in their territory on a regular basis, be available for service related calls coming from the agents and respond to those calls in a timely fashion. To proactively sell new products to dealers with an aim towards increasing revenues both for the agent and Qpay. ASR’s must have a level of technical proficiency with PC’s in general and standard peripheral devices in order to trouble shoot the issues that arise for the agents. Qpay provides extensive training in this regard, however ASR’s must also have the ability to proactively seek additional technical knowledge when and where they need it.
From a sales perspective, Qpay expects its ASR’s to review monthly activities with their agents and identify opportunities to increase business and revenues. They must develop and maintain relationships with the owners, managers, and staff, and always be available, creative, enthusiastic, and helpful. ASR’s must also have a working knowledge of our competition and be able to articulate the differences and advantages of being a Qpay Agent versus being a location of some other processor.
Lastly, the ASR is responsible for regular weekly and monthly reports that track both active and inactive Agent locations, payment volumes, payment volume fluctuations, store visit activities, and merchandizing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in outside sales and or service covering a specific territory with multiple account locations and a proven positive record of success. The preferred background will include specific experience with a wireless carrier or other monthly billed service provider that sells through retail distribution (such as DirecTV, Dish Network, pre-paid long distance services, etc.) Prior experience with another payment processing organization or merchant services organization is also looked at favorably. The candidate must have great communication skills, both verbal and written, and must fully demonstrate the ability to make each and every customer feel that that they are the valued partner that in fact they are. Qpay views its Agent partners as the most crucial aspect of its success and the ASR is therefore the most critical aspect of that relationship.
