Accountant 1

Purpose of the Position:

Performs revenue accounting function for North America professional services business.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

¾  Ensures meeting of deadlines and compliance with established accounting policy and generally accepted accounting principles.

¾  Performs detailed accounting assignments requiring a professional knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

¾  Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions.

¾  Reviews expense and/or revenue coding, reclassifies errors. Reconciles accounts and does necessary postings.

¾  Sets up amortization and/or cash flow position schedules.

¾  Performs complex accounting analysis and journal entries.

¾  Generates and distributes specialized financial reports for management.

¾  Solicits and compiles necessary information required for the monthly and quarterly close.

¾  Responds to complex inquiries from employees, managers, vendors and/or customers.

¾  Assists in developing and installing accounting systems, methods, procedures and controls.

 

Education and Related Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with up to 4 years of accounting experience.  Experience with Excel is required.  Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
