Position Purpose:

To manage the day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger activity, project accounting, revenue recognition activities, monthly close process, and financial reporting.
 

Responsibilities:

· Oversee the day to day operation of the entire accounting function.
· Perform staff reviews and career development plans, motivate and grow internal resources.
· Manage monthly invoicing and revenue recognition activities.
· Owner of Oracle system maintenance and improvement projects.
· Drive process improvements throughout the department to maximize efficiency
· Partner with business functions to ensure streamlined business activities and straightforward accounting interactions
· Prepare well-organized audit review packages on a quarterly and annual basis for outside auditors and serve as the key contact person for these reviews and audits.
· Assist with Internal Control review, maintenance and SOX compliance
· Maintain corporate policies and procedures
· Take initiative on technical accounting issues and new accounting pronouncements

Requirements:

Bachelors in Accounting
Managerial experience
3-5 years experience with month end close cycles and revenue recognition activities, preferably in high tech environment
Experience with internal control work and process documentation
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of GAAP
Prior experience with Oracle Financials and Oracle Reporting
