Accounting Project Manager/Software Implementer

National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) is an information technology company with offices in both Lake St. Louis, MO and Mandan, ND that develops and supports software and hardware solutions for utility and telecommunications cooperatives and companies across the nation. We currently have an opportunity for a Accounting Project Manager/Software Implementer in either our Lake St. Louis or Mandan office who would be responsible for performing software implementations for Accounting and Business Solution (ABS) Members, managing the implementation project, providing application support to customers, validating and verifying the accuracy of the converted data, training personnel on all aspects of the ABS application, answering questions on function and usage of product via the telephone, e-mail, or on-site.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform project management responsibilities by implementing accounting software according to all NISC established project management guidelines, including application support and training. The accounting software application include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Inventory Management, Fleet Management and various other accounting products.Provide the discovery process and consultation necessary to create business solutions for NISC Members.Identifies potential problems in advance and troubleshoots problems effectively.Provides customer feedback to product development staff as appropriate.Provide superior customer service to our Members in all encounters. Travel may require up to 20 weeks per year to Member offices assisting on conversions and performing software reviews to meet the goals and objectives of the position.Performs ongoing, onsite training or delivers remote application training to Members via Web tools. Conduct and organize ABS National IT Learning Center Classes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of NISC's ABS applications with the understanding of integration to NISC's Billing Products and other related applications is preferred.Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.  Strong telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with Members. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. Strong computer skills. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.Ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts.Working knowledge of Rural Electric and Telecom organizations is a plus. Commitment to NISC’s Statement of Shared Values. Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience (an Accounting Degree is preferred). Generally requires 3 to 5 years of ABS product usage or support experience either at NISC or at an electric distribution system.
