Accounts Payable Clerk

Fonterra is a world leader in dairy production. A cooperative in New Zealand, Fonterra is owned by approximately 12,000 farmers throughout the country. It is the sixth-largest dairy company in the world, and the most influential by far when it comes to determining international dairy trade, The number one dairy ingredients exporter, handling over a third of all international dairy exports.

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the accounts payable function with our in house Shared Service provider in New Zealand as well as ensuring the integrity of the general ledger in respect of vendor invoices and payments to terms.

 Key involvement in our relationship with our shared service function in New Zealand including the scanning of invoices for processing.Drives the accuracy of information with in the general ledger in respect of vendor payments.Development of relationships with vendors.Attention to detail and an eye for solving complex problems.

Requirements:2-5  years of accounts payable experience Excellent analytic and problem solving skillsPrevious experience in client-focused environment preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills Professional dedication to quality customer service Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Excel. Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
