Job Summary
The Achievement Coach Manager will work with our Achievement Coaches, providing guidance and direction to successfully coach college students that may be “at risk” of leaving. He/she will guide them on multiple aspects of coaching, including motivational techniques, guidance to provide under scenarios, how to provide constructive criticism, etc.
Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesWork with Achievement Coaches and train them on best counseling practices.Work with Coaches and clients to map out coaching workflows/protocols.Monitor the progress of students and Achievement Coaches and generate insightful reports for colleges.Monitor one-on-one coaching sessions and provide constructive feedback to Achievement Coaches.Guide Achievement Coaches on retention initiatives (communications, student/faculty/parent surveys, etc.)Serve as a mentor and expert to Achievement Coaches and a resource for coaching best practices.Actively share best practices and effective techniques with team to improve the Coaching Certification Program and coaching quality at Hobsons.Achieve a good understanding of all aspects of the education market and the specific challenges students face in higher education.Build strong client relationships.Collaborate with clients and Marketing on identifying and creating case studies.Research trends affecting retention and identify ways to address those via coaching.Performance will be measured based on student success (i.e. college progress) and customer feedback.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.At least 3 years of experience in counseling and/or coaching.A degree in psychology or related field is a plus.Knowledge of the education market and comfort with technology.
Personal CharacteristicsAbility to lead a group of Achievement Coaches.Ability to understand and communicate the overall product strategy. Ability to build strong relationships with clientsGood organization and time management skills; excellent communication skills.Excellent phone skills.
