Advertising Manager
We’re looking for a smart, talented and experienced advertising professional to join the Corporate Advertising Team at Microsoft, specifically working on the “People-Ready Business” global ad campaign. The CMG Advertising Team works across business groups and CMG disciplines to ensure strategic alignment for the Microsoft brand and sub-brands, target audiences and value propositions and perceptions in the Global Advertising campaigns. This includes delivering advertising worldwide, driving digital innovation in the company’s ad campaigns and developing a great partnership with McCann Erickson Worldwide. In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team of discipline experts including brand, PR, and direct/online marketing, creating integrated marketing campaigns that shape audience perceptions of the Microsoft brand. Additionally, this person will interface daily with Microsoft’s advertising agency and BG product teams, leading efforts on advertising development, execution and strategy on this major global piece of business. You will also be working with international subsidiaries to ensure local market implementation worldwide. The ideal candidate will be skilled at facilitating the development and championing of great advertising and/or integrated marketing efforts. It is essential that you understand the creative advertising process for TV, Print and Online/Digital advertising, ideally with experience on either the client or agency side. Key responsibilities:· Drive PRB’s Digital/Online Advertising strategy and execution· Partner with other Marcom discipline leads (MS.com, PR, RM) to ensure maximum impact and integration with PRB digital advertising· Align with Digital Marcom team on key digital ignition programs: Search, Online advertising, Social Networking, Mobile Marketing, etc.· Develop strategy for supporting PRB message via customer evidence and case studies. Partner with BDM BG Audience Marketing team to leverage content in advertising in an engaging and compelling way· Lead campaign’s Measurement and Learning program, including Online/Web Reporting and Advanced Analytics and drive insights and learnings to apply across other BDM campaigns· Work with Media team in developing innovative media programs and lead efforts for Emerging Media trials· Own all advertising spend forecasting and budget management Experience Required:7-10 years of solid advertising experience, preferably in B2B or technology fields. Experience working on a large, global campaignsStrong leadership and project management skillsGreat communication and collaboration skillsStrong creative sensibilityExperience in Marketing Research analysisAgency experience is considered a plus, but not required for this position Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business.
