ABOUT THE POSITION

 

The Analyst Programmer serves a strategic role on the development team responsible for supporting Georgia State University's Research Administration applications. This position will play a key role in the implementation of PeopleSoft Grants Management as well as continued development and support of custom applications. This is a hands-on software development position involving significant project management and business systems analysis responsibility in addition to programming.  

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

 

Successful candidates will have:

·  3+ years software development experience

·  Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

·  SQL and fundamentals of relational database design

·  Object Oriented Programming

·  HTML, CSS

·  Solid business analysis experience

·  Strong planning and organization skills

·  Sound analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills

·  Strong work ethic 

 

Preferred Qualifications:



The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

· PeopleSoft Grants Management

·  SQR, Peoplecode

·  Object Oriented Analysis and Design

·  XML, XSLT, XPATH, JavaScript, PHP

·  ADO.NET, ASP.NET

·  Microsoft SQL Server

·  .NET Framework 2.0

·  VB.NET, C#

·  Java/J2EE

·  Strong project management skills

·  Knowledge of and experience with business processes within higher education specifically those involving sponsored research  



 

Salary:

 

Salary commensurate with experience
