Application Analyst Job DescriptionThe Application Support Analyst’s role is to deliver support for mission critical corporate applications and databases, in support of corporate objectives. This includes troubleshooting applications and software for internal and external customers, and other business units. The Application Support Analyst is also responsible for assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement of software applications by clarifying application capabilities, requirements gathering, developing detailed documentation and user guides. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Determines, develops and documents functionality and work flow of applications. Instructions to include:n Cheat sheets and processes pertinent to a specific client or applicationn Documenting the custom report/program instructions for a clientn Testing the application after updatesn Validating security and setupn Producing and managing application related documentation 2. Provides support and assistance to end users with corporate applications in accordance with their daily work flow. 3. Work with vendors to define and implement system interfaces. 4. Prepares appropriate documentation and user guides specific to application capabilities and audience workflows. 5. Participates and assists in system analysis and database tasks as required. 6. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios etc. 7. Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards. 8. Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those must base their work on the requirements. 9. Document requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely. 10. Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements. 11. Other duties as assigned to maintain department and client function. Job Qualifications 1. 1-3 years experience working as an applications analyst or a related field. 2. Work requires a general level of knowledge of practice software applications as acquired through education, experience or a combination of both. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare or related field would be a plus 3. Knowledge of GE Centricity or Medical Manager Software a plus. 4. Demonstrated ability to break down user issues into actionable tasks for the resolution of the issues being presented. 5. Knowledge of TSQL a plus 6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, clients, vendors and consultants. 7. Excellent communication skills in the English language (both oral and written) and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
