Activant Solutions Inc. is looking for an Application Consultant with an understanding of business processes and a desire to help distributors increase the return on their technology investment: Ideal for a focused, independent individual with strong interpersonal skills.  Candidates will work remotely and independently bringing strong business experience to Industrial Distribution companies.  This position is responsible for on-site consulting of new and existing users of Activant's leading enterprise software solution for distributors. A 100 percent billable position, candidates must be able to travel throughout North America 75 to 100 percent of the time.Responsibilities:   • Must be able and available for overnight travel throughout North America as this position requires 75 to 100 percent overnight travel • Consult with new users on the use of Activant's enterprise software application(s) on-site and  on best business practices fitting customers' needs to software • Consult with existing users on-site to enhance utilization of the software and to increase customers' operational efficiencies • Develop customer relationships, generate leads, and work with sales team • Provide written internal reports documenting customer engagements as well as formal reports to customers identifying areas of improvement and outlining recommendations • Engage in continuous education of the distribution industry and Activant's software applications • May perform occasional in-house training for customers onsite in Yardley, PA • Must be able to travel on a continental basis • Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport Preferred Education & Experience:   • Bachelors degree in Business, Distribution, Operations, Logistics, MIS, IS or related degree. • 5+ years consulting, business application training, implementation or customer support experience in the software industry required • Solid understanding of wholesale distribution including strong knowledge of general business processes such as accounting, inventory management, and order processing required • Experience with, ERP, CRM, supply chain, logistics and related applications desired • Knowledge of Activant's enterprise applications preferred • Effective teaching, and excellent verbal/written communication and PC skills required • NT and SQL experience a plus Click here to APPLY NOW.
