Job Description:

Mitinet, Inc. is a fast-growing library services company based in Verona WI.  Mitinet is an industry leader in developing and providing data services and cataloging software and services to school and public libraries.  We are seeking a Senior Application / Data Architect with strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skill sets that can think strategically and act tactically.  This position will work closely with executives and departmental management, as well as customers to design the next generation products and services.  This position will also be responsible for upgrading the existing architecture to increase effectiveness.  We need someone who has done this in the past, someone who has been with a company in this same role as it has grown would be a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· To participate in the beginning of major projects to identify application/service architectures as well as the optimal data model approach and process

· To evaluate software changes and modifications for database structure impacts

· To advise developers on persistent storage techniques and issues

· To participate in the capacity planning and database management process

· To provide data storage insights into long term strategic plans

· To participate in the design, development, and deployment of new and existing products and services.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Ability to work independently.

· Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Technical Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science Degree required in a technical area, preferably computer science or engineering.

· 7-10 years experience in all phases of software engineering.

· 2+ years of experience as an Application/Data Architect.

· 5+ years of Data Modeling and Database design experience.

· Creation of Entity Relationship models.

· Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server required.

· Experience designing Windows client/server  and web applications.

· Programming Skills: .Net, C#, SOA/Web Services
