Application Developer - .Net

Permanent position in Raleigh/Durham area.  No relocation assistance available, local candidates preferred.  This position is not available to candidates requiring a visa sponsorship.  No third party vendors.

 

Responsibilities:  Assist with on-going development of proprietary .net application. Develop and maintain VB.net, possible ASP.net, solutions and work with departments to enhance overall system operation. 

 

Qualifications Necessary:  3+ years .Net development experience. VB.net/ASP.net, Strong Microsoft SQL, stored procedures. XML, QA, Project Management work experience a plus. Technical writing, Crystal Reports, and Structured QA experience desired. Microsoft certifications also desired.

 

Detailed Description: This position is to provide development, maintenance and administration support for proprietary software solution. A successful candidate will have two or more years of .net development experience (required). At least three to five years of overall software design experience preferred with heavy emphasis on architecture. Strong SQL Server background desired.
Candidate will be responsible for contributing to a variety of project objectives including, but not limited to, design, prototyping, 3rd party application integration, QA, etc. Candidate will work as part of an internal team and will provide timely maintenance support on assigned applications as well as be integral in the architecture and design of new functionality / applications. Must be a confident and secure in their knowledge of the technologies required for the position.  Candidate must have a “take ownership for a solutionâ€� attitude towards development – not just “code to specâ€�.
