Application Developer with Flash Knowledge

Opportunity:

We are seeking Developers with exceptional web development skills and sound database connection knowledge.  Candidate must be self-motivated with a strong ability to manage projects independently.  We are looking for a multi-talented individual with Flash programming, Action Script, Java and C# programming skills. Project management ability and a proven expertise in dynamic application development with great attention to detail is what this position calls for.

 

Responsibilities:

This experienced web programmer/Flash Specialist will work in a team to create interactive applications and data connectors, using Flash and Actionscript. Applicants must have experience implementing object oriented designs into Flash applications using Actionscript.

 

Other responsibilities will include:

 

· Program/develop solutions to integrate web services, objects, and independent applications with various common database structures to a variety of web-based platforms in a high security environment, using Flash up to version 9.* (banking, hospitals, etc…).

 

· Manage several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and needs to additionally respond to a variety of web and database application related requests from other departments for existing clients.

 

· Maintain, edit and update existing dynamic client applications that are written in a variety of languages; Classic ASP, HTML, PHP, Cold Fusion, .NET. Most of which have an SQL Server 2000 or 2005 back-end.

 

· Responsible for functional integrity for projects, post-production, as well as ensuring design continuity.


Qualifications:

· Excellent programming skills with: Flash, Action Script, Java and C#.

· Strong Knowledge in SOAP, XML, cookie usage and persist objects.

· Definite Plus if you have strong skills with Cold Fusion and Linux Apache.

· Excellent knowledge of VB database scripting, SQL, writing stored procedures, along with a general knowledge of other database types (AS/400, Oracle, etc…).

· Technology degree or equivalent experience in programming and database development.

· Experience resolving website usability issues and working knowledge of design best practices.

· Ability to think critically and provide multiple alternatives to achieve an objective.

· Ability to communicate fluently in English is required

· Provide a portfolio of past work with a synopsis of specially featured accomplishments is required.

· Demonstrate an understanding of software and development life cycle is required.
