POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

 

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The Administrative Office of the Courts seeks a qualified candidate to act as a functional manager for the Applications Development organization.  This person must have extensive supervisory and management experience working with IT software projects and teams.  The candidate must have a proven track record of supervision, planning, delegation, and leadership.  Duties to include: selection and evaluation of subordinate staff, training of subordinates, assignment of work and supervision of subordinates, demonstration of leadership and communication skills.  Candidate will be expected to provide opportunities for subordinates to develop new skills, provide project leaders with decisions, alternatives and recommendations to business problems as presented. 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Graduation from a four year college or university with a major in Computer Science, Business Administration, Court Administration or Criminal Justice, and a minimum of twelve years of combined project and supervisory experience in software development/IT; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in any of the following will be a plus: court applications, eCommerce, enterprise web applications, scheduling, credit card applications, electronic filing.  Preference will be given to candidates with prior work experience managing technical staff and technical projects.
