Application Engineer: Non-Linear Finite Element Applications

Due to continued growth, the SIMULIA West Region has an immediate opening for an Application Engineer. The West Regional office is based in Fremont, CA and is responsible for sales and technical support for Abaqus software in Western U.S. and Canada. We also provide engineering analysis services, with an emphasis on finite element based solutions, to industrial clients worldwide.  This position will work remotely from home in support of our Southern California office.Responsibilities for this position include providing technical support to Abaqus users, conducting Abaqus training courses and finite element modeling for consulting services clients. This position reports to the General Manager.Applicants must have at least a Master's degree in engineering, with a concentration in either mechanical or civil/structural engineering. Prior work experience is preferred. Experience with non-linear finite element applications is essential and working knowledge of finite element pre-processors and commercial CAD packages is a definite advantage. The successful candidate will be highly qualified and motivated, and possess excellent communications skills.Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder.
