Description of PositionProblem Resolution and PreventionPrioritizes problems for effective and timely resolutionPrimary liaison between system users and IS Technical personnelResearches reported problems by testing and documentationCommunicates resolution options to users and develops a plan for resolutionCoordination of UpgradesCommunicates, fixes, enhancements, test plans, training issues and timeframes to user area coordinatorsDevelops testing plansActs as a resource to users relative to application functionalityReport/Information GenerationUses available report tools to write reports to enhance system capabilities and increase user productivityProject Coordination – Management/SupportPerforms initial/ongoing project analysis and assists with defining scope of project Performs and/or delegates project control functions to assure effective and complete planning and implementation methods are practicedAssists with overseeing all implementation activities for assigned applications

 

Primary Areas of Support

STAR Medical, Horizon Physician Portal,  Horizon Patient Folder  and SQL Reporting

 

Minimum Educational Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

 

Minimum Experience Requirements

Strongly prefer 2-3 years experience as an Applications Analyst using McKesson software applications, but will consider other Clinical Applications Software experience as well.  Experience and comfort working with physicians in a training environment.  Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving and analytical skills. Programming language knowledge a plus.  Training and presentation skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Understanding of testing and quality  control.  Knowledge of healthcare atmosphere, trends and standards. Technical troubleshooting skills.
