Assistant Treasurer

Red Hat is seeking an Assistant Treasurer in our Raleigh, NC location. You will be responsible for assisting the Treasurer with its international and risk management strategies, including but not limited to, capital structure management, financing, global cash management, corporate investments, interest and cash forecasting, developing and maintaining bank relationships, and monitoring bank transactions. Are you up for the challenge? CANDIDATEQUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:- 7-10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in Corporate Treasury. International experience is a plus.DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate international treasury operations strategies and controls, managing cash forecasting structure as well as maintaining the Company's core bank relationships.- Coordinate new or changing business requirements opening foreign bank accounts including evaluation of operating unit FX, bank structure requirements, bank due diligence documentation, connectivity through treasury, or other specific bank services, funding of foreign currency bank accounts and reporting of bank transactions for accounting ledger.- Work in collaboration with the Tax Department to assist int he development and execution of tax-treasury related initiatives that improve company's profitability and facilitate foreign cash repatriation.- Analyze and recommend capital structure and cash flow strategies for the Corporation. - With the assistance of the Treasury Analyst, ensure compliance with the approved Investment Policy and recommend changes to portfolio guidelines. - Monitor the investment managers to ensure a high level of performance and the portfolio against appropriate benchmarks. - Recommend investment portfolio strategies to maximize total return given corporate objectives.- With the assistance of the Treasury Analyst, manage the property/risk management program including the design, monitoring and renewal of Red Hat's insurance program.- Manage Treasury policies, controls and SOX compliance and coordinate annual audit work.- Establish letters of credit supporting leasing or other similar requirements.- Evaluate DSO and monitor bad debt expense for global accounts receivable. In addition, the Assistant Treasurer will provide analytical support to the Treasurer & CFO with regard to financial forecasting, capital structure and other special projects.EDUCATIONALREQUIREMENTS: 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance.
