As an Associate Solution Architect you will work directly with Akamai's project teams and customers to deliver Akamai solutions. You will be involved with projects from design through implementation, testing and customer sign-off. You will work independently or within a small technical team to evaluate Akamai enterprise customers’ web architecture and assist in the delivery of the appropriate solution. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating content management and publishing processes, web application architecture, security requirements, DNS configurations, and delivering a solution that meets the customer’s business and technical requirements. You will plan, implement, test, and deploy Akamai platform configurations to integrate with customer web sites, develop and execute test cases and scripts for customer solutions, and track status and time spent on customer integrations. You will participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of integrations. * Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS or equivalent relevant experience in Internet technologies. * Knowledge in one or more web development languages. Basic understanding of development methodologies and common web and application architectures. * Experience with J2EE or .NET applications and coding a plus. * Must be outgoing action-oriented self-starters - capable of independently solving technical problems. * Strong communication skills – must be able to speak clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.
