About the Team The Professional Services team works with Akamai’s customers to design and implement solutions that maximize return on investment, reduce risk, and optimize their online initiatives. About the Job As an Associate Technical Project Manager you will work directly with Akamai's project teams to deliver Akamai solutions. You will be involved with projects from design through implementation, testing and customer sign-off. You will work independently or within a small technical team to evaluate Akamai enterprise customers web architecture and assist in the delivery of the appropriate solution. Responsibilities * Manage 3-6 concurrently active projects with small multipart (internal and customer) teams * Develop and execute test cases and scripts for customer solutions; track and document status and time spent on customer integrations * Work with Sales Reps and Sale Engineers to scope and position projects in the presales process * Work with other Service and Support groups (Account Management, Customer Care, Sales Engineering) to ensure a tightly integrated customer experience * Validate that the appropriate products and services are sold and delivered to the customer to meet their business objectives * Understand Akamai products and services and be able to articulate their benefits to customers of various levels of technical experience * Effectively manage your time across these activities. Basic Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's Degree in MIS/CS or other technical area of study * Overall Experience: 0-2 years or equivalent experience * 1 year of experience with web development languages, methodologies, and architectures or equivalent experience * 1 year of experience with basic web technologies include HTTP, DNS, and/or HTML or equivalent experience * 1 year of experience with structured project management in a customer-facing environment or equivalent experience Desired Qualifications * Solution-oriented personality with a curious mind and attention for detail; desire to get to the bottom of any challenge presented to them * Outgoing, action-oriented, self-starter capable of independently solving technical problems * Strong oral and written communication skills – must be able to speak clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.
