Job Description – INTERN or ENTRY LEVEL TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

Axway is currently seeking qualified and highly-motivated individuals whom enjoy solving challenging business problems to join our Professional Service Organization as a Technical Consultant. A Technical Consultant candidate would demonstrate the ability to develop a good level of expertise in one or more technical environments (language, database, operating system, Axway software package), and/or a good knowledge of an industry.   

 

Key Responsibilities

 

· Participate as a junior member of a consultancy team undertaking complex assignments, led by a more experienced consultant.

· Work closely with technical and business level contacts both within Axway as well as at customer sites to gain understanding of business and technical requirements and demonstrate the ability to meet those requirements using the Axway platform and solutions.

· Participate as a technical expert in a project of Axway software implementation or systems integration through by implementing Axway e-commerce applications. Perform systems tuning and diagnostics on UNIX, LINUX and WINDOWS platforms.

· Can produce all required documentation without assistance.

· A pro active service attitude that can look beyond a strict process/priority matrix.

· Must be capable of working in a demanding, customer-focused environment; and travel up to 75% including international travel



QualificationsBS in Business, Engineering or Computer Science Proficiency with UNIX, LINUX and Windows platform administration Proficiency with java or other development languages as well as shell scripting and javascript.  2+ years Java development experience preferred Proficiency with database systems (esp. Oracle), SQL, and reporting tools Familiarity with network connectivity, communication protocols, and network troubleshooting Proficiency with XML and web technologies Familiarity with web application servers
