Billing Manager w/ Rev Rec & General Ledger Working Knowledge

Under the direction of the Director of Accounting, this position is first and foremost a Billing Manager Position.There is Heavy Transactional Volume related to processing monthly, quarterly and annual billing for several revenue streams. 

The individual would be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of all revenue-related transactions and transactional compliance with revenue recognition accounting guidelines.

Additionally the individual must; understand the general ledger, be able to prepare journal entries, analyze transactions recorded in the general ledger and determine the reasonableness of transactions within each revenue general ledger account.  General ledger maintenance and account reconciliation is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities (established by supervisor)

Supervise and perform as necessary various billing and accounting functions to ensure that all monthly billings and monthly closes are completed in a accordance to company guidelines including but not limited to the following:

Review sales order invoicing, recognition of deferred revenue

Review and ensure completeness and accuracy of related monthly schedules and reconciliations within deadlines

Review inventory accounting including reconciliation of quarterly physical counts

Research open sales orders, back orders, etc.

Good understanding of the general ledger

Reconcile general ledger accounts for each division in a timely manner and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. 

Assists in quarterly reviews and annual audits

Ad hoc reporting as required

Perform additional duties as requested.


Hands on Moderate-Level experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
