We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our IS team based in Glastonbury, CT.

In this Business Analyst role, you will:utilize your business analysis expertise to provide project and analytical support for our projects and enhancement requests. act as a liaison between the different departments and IT to define and document business requirements for Projects and Enhancements requests. write detailed business requirements and functional specifications for projects within the development organization build effective interfaces to the local and remote development communities to ensure that the business requirements are translated to optimal technical solutions. develop and document test scenarios participate in system testing activities to ensure the quality of deliverables. track and communicate business issues and software defects. work closely with the business in defining the user acceptance test criteria. assist with trouble shooting and problem resolution on production support issues assist the Project Manager in defining and managing project scope work closely with the PMO to define BA & QA best practices, standards, guidelines and template assist the business in defining processes and solving problems by applying technology recommend changes to BA & QA processes or procedures to create efficiencies educate users on system development life cycle practices

 

To qualify for this position, you must have:3+ years of Business Analysis experience experience with ERP systems(e.g, PeopleSoft) is a plus excellent verbal and written communication skills exposure to QA best practices is a plus. strong people, team and customer interaction skills ability to elicit and analyze business requirements and communicate them effectively to the technical team. an understanding or exposure to SDLC concepts, phases and deliverables. a good grasp of system/application concepts with proficiency in MS Office, Word and Excel must be a quick learner with the ability to adjust to multiple demands, address shifting priorities, and to champion change ability to communicate effectively with management, business users, and technical staff. good presentation and facilitation skills strong problem solving and analytical capabilities ability to understand customer needs and manage expectations ability to negotiate, influence, recommend and mediate in a highly matrixed environment
