NOTE:  This position can be based in Birmingham, AL, Harrisburg, PA or other remote sites. Business Analysts manage development life cycle projects and/or perform in a high-level contributor role with expertise in product application and/or business and technical processes. Business Analysts typically do not manage staff. They provide technical guidance and/or direction concerning the business implications of the application of various systems. They help to research and define new product offering requirements based on market trends and regulatory requirements.  They mentor and train less experienced analysts. Business Analysts are assigned the most complex projects and/or situations that have the highest degree customer exposure. Using an analytical approach, Business Analysts assess project, development, and company liability and advise management accordingly. Business Analysts regularly demonstrate a thorough knowledge of technology when interfacing with the development staff or the project team. As necessary, Business Analysts may assist with the translation and documentation of functional requirements into proper system requirement specifications. Business Analysts are responsible for estimating project scope, required resources, and project efforts. They may be accountable for multiple projects at any given time or may be delegated special work assignments as necessary, which may include conducting client operational reviews for product(s) usage. Business Analysts may also be responsible for consulting on product vision, planning, and forecasting.QualificationsRequires 3 years experience as a Business Analyst in a health Plan with an operations role related to Medicare Advantage and/or Part D and or Medicaid.
