Business Analyst (SAP/HR)

Union Switch & Signal, Inc. (US&S) is looking for a Business Systems Analyst with SAP HR experience:

 

Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years experience in SAP HR modules (Release 4.7). Some knowledge of FI, CO, and PS modules is preferred. At a minimum must know integration points between HR modules and FI, CO, PS.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Position Type: Full-time/Direct hire position (not a contract)

 

Responsibilities:To begin, the Business Analyst is responsible for gaining an understanding of the configuration and functionality of the SAP system recently implemented at US&S from the consultant team who performed the implementation and system training with the goal of providing knowledge transfer to the US&S end users.This individual will be responsible for assisting the business process owners in facilitating the adoption of new or improved processes and/or procedures across the organization and in the planning, design, development and deployment of new SAP functionality, enhancements to existing SAP functionality or other business applications in support of these processes.

 

Duties:Solicit and document business requirementsModel business processPerform application design activities Lead gap analysis activities comparing business requirements to softwareCreate functional requirements as an input to application designAssist with build, test and deploy activitiesPerform training to business usersSupport post production end user questions and issues

 

Required Skills and Experience:Minimum of 8 years IT experience in the area of Systems Analysis and Application Development/DeploymentThorough understanding of Human Resources.  Prior experience as an HR practitioner preferredSome knowledge of corporate operations (manufacturing, engineering, sales and project management) and corporate financials desiredMust possess proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of organizational directives and their business goals as well as to maximize the value of IT system investments.  Sound facilitation skills and customer focus are a mustSpecific experience in implementing SAP is required with a minimum of one implementation/roll-out (complete lifecycle)Experience in SAP Technical Architecture and Development desiredAbility to configure SAP HR modules requiredExperience in SAP Query and SAP ABAP is a plusB.S. degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Management Information Systems
