Business Analyst with Technical Analysis Experience

Position requires gathering of business requirements and translating them to technical designs for application changes. Indepth Knowledge of Either of the Following Skills: Working knowledge of J2EE architectures including multiple operating systems, Web Servers, Application Servers; LDAP's, databases and other networked componentsExperience with Web Applications developed in J2EE, Java, XML, JSP, Servlet, ASP, ISS and Web SphereExperience with databases Database Oracle 8.x/9i, SQLServer 2000/2005

ORExperience with Web Applications developed in ASP, .NET and IISExperience with databases Database DB2Experience/Exposure to IBM Mainframe systems Required Skills: Translates functional business requirements into technical specifications Works with business units to understand and document business requirementsDevelop, test and implement applications utilizing company standard development procedures and techniquesAssists/Defines project scope and prioritization of deliverables Assists/Defines development plan and cost estimatesDocuments systems architecture and detail designs as defined by the development methodologyCoordinates tasks with development team and assists with coding as neededParticipate in and/or facilitates design review sessions to seek out alternative solutions and best practicesDefines test environment and oversees testing phases to ensure project deliverables satisfy functional requirements Analyze applications and implement improvements to optimize performancePromotes and develops reusable models for deliveryProvides technical support and guidance to users for major/complex support issuesDirect work efforts of Applications, Business or Technical Analyst teams on assigned projects Experience with applications connected to the Internet and understand the associated security implicationsWorking knowledge of software development life cycles
