Business Development Manager - Veterans Affairs

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for developing business opportunities for our client within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  May support business development activities of other programs and divisions, and perform other duties as assigned.

DUTIES:
Function as management liaison between company and the VA Program Office, insuring timely deliverables and customer satisfaction. Provide approach for developing quality solutions and Task Order (TO) proposals, capitalizing on cross-functional resources and external teammates, as required. Conduct monthly reviews with senior management. Interface directly with customer senior management, task managers, and contracting representatives. Create and expand new strategic and tactical plans, and implement long-range strategies.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Required: 10 years experience in business development, sales and/or marketing to the Federal government, with three or more years of experience with VA. Must have track record of developing new business opportunities, and have demonstrated the ability to successfully work with internal and external teammates.  Must have experience selling IT services and solutions.  Experience with federal healthcare or medical programs is desirable.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required: Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other technical discipline;
Desired: MA/MS/MBA
